Waste sorting

Among solid waste produced in households there are recyclable materials, which could be re-used in making new products. Waste sorting helps conserve nature's resources, reduces quantities of waste which go to dumping sites, as well as reduces pollution of water and air, and helps to lower costs of waste management.

Recyclable waste can be segregated into these secondary sorts of materials - paper, plastics, and glass. For convenient segregation of waste three different types of coloured containers are used:

  • Blue container for paper;
  • Yellow container for plastics;
  • Green container for glass.

Quite often people inquire what materials and to which of the above mentioned container should be dropped. Therefore we provide this simplified list of waste sorting recommendations.
